Well your all proably wondering where the hell did Sheila go.. Well I am still here... Link and I was in the process of moving to the QCA... We moved in with Links parents which after a while didnt go so well but then moved in with a friend and it got better.... We had to totally renovate our new house before we could move in and its finally done, and we got the internet turned on today... WHOO HOO..

Iknow you all have missed me by now because I have missed you. Episode 3 has been on for a few weeks now and episode 4 is in the works. Keep watching as these will get more frequent.

Ok now I don't know if I ever told you this but when it comes to Walmart Sheila and Link have a weakness...

I was just telling Link we need to stretch our money because we got a new house that we will be moving into In October and we go to Walmart to get R Dvds and Make up and ended up getting junk food too!!! LOL

Well why we were at Wally world we seen this hot young blonde... Well I thought he was hot Link didnt. Well he ended up in every isle we were in... Coinky dink ?? I dont think so.... Well its time to shower and get my face prepped .. Hopefully we will have new pics up here for you tonight...

RIP Ted Kennedy

Why Ted Kennedy was one of our greatest leaders I just dont under stand how our goverment can allow a group of people be in full control. There should be term limits on our Senators and Representatives. Ted Kennedy was in our Senate way to long. Even though he did great things he wellded to much power over our Nation. When will our common sense start governeing us instead of the Social Elite?

I will not complete ranting about how I think things should go. I do sadly say that the world losing Senator Kennedy has lost a great leader. Senator Kennedy has done so many great things in the Senate for everybody. He was also a supporter for LGBT rights. Maybe not the best, but he did think about us most often.

My prayers are with the Kennedy family as they mourn there loss. Also to the many Americans who looked up to Senator Kennedy. I know you are also mourning.

Now when i say acceptance is still our major push in the Gay Rights Movement I am so right! I mean come on how many times do we have to watch young teens being attacked untill we make this a major front in our battle on Human Equality again?

I really beilive that schools all over the country need to have Human Equality classes to teach against the stereo types of the LGBT Community.

Steven Harmon who is 15 who was recently attacked by 2 17 year olds says his spirit has not been broken and that he is still standing and he is still who he is. I want to say kudos to Steves freind who helped him in the attack becuase from what his mother said he would of been in a coma or killed. Read more about these two brave young men.

Anglican Church Overtuns Gay Bishop Ban

Anglican Church in the United States voted to drop a 3 year ban on the appointment of Gay Bishops. The decision could lead to the Episcopal Churchs eventual exit from the world wide Anglican Communion.

WHAT A DAMN SHAME! Again another great step towards human equality is happening when relgious leaders are now taking steps to allow Gays to serve God as Bishops. This is such a great movement forward.

GM Thinking about $4,000 Car

OK I really think Auto makers are starting to head in the right directon, but when it gets reported that GM might make a $4,000 car in ASIA ... It just totally pisses me off.

GM incase you all didnt know is now majority owned by the United States goverment. YES UNCLE SAM OWNS GM! Why in such crisis with our economy would they manufacture a car that is sure going to sell in the United States in Asia? Is it becuase the American Auto Maker is too greedy?

There is a lot of basic common sense that some business's need to look at, along with their workers. Wages keep going up, prices keep going up, and not all Americans work in the segements that these people do. Majority of people still work in retail, and food service and then feel the pinch.

Ok you would think since were in the 21st Century that people would be fully educated around the world on LGBT issues, and would know that this affects all areas. Its so sad to see that our own people are not completely educated around the world.

Instead of sitting on our high horse and prancing around the United States and Europe we need to be helping our community in 3rd world countries and make more of it visiable to the public.

People in 3rd world countries are obiviously afraid of Transgendered people and there fore dont care about their healthcare. THEY SHOULD SINCE 40% of them in some countries have HIV! When will the world wake up!!!

Corduroy Stone Mike Jones NO RESPONSE

For some of you that follow my blog religiously you seen that I wrote about a young man that underwent EX Gay Therapy with Corduroy Stone that is directed by Mike Jones.

I sent an email to Mr. Jones to allow him to share his words on the subject before Sheila decides to wage a war on the pervert and expose them for their acts against young men.

Just keep reading thru my blog and you will find those stories and the email I sent to Mr. Jones.

It has been over a week and Mr. Jones did not respond to me. This really dosent surprise me but also gives me the energy to wage war against this so called ministry.

They are praying on young men and abusing them emotionally and border line sexually.

Bill Clinton on DADT

Bill Clinton addressed over 2000 bloggers and activist last night and discussed his positioning on DADT and the Marriage Act.

He said that the LGBT Community needs to do some soul searching as we did not lobby law makers when he was trying to get these laws placed. He said that we did nothing to help him gain support and this is why these laws are written the way they are today. Mr. Clinton said that he was trying to get congress to allow Gays and Lesbians to serve in the armed forces and also be able to have a private life and be openly gay.

I really do beilive that Bill Clintons heart was in the right place but didnt understand that we dont want to live in private with our lives and then when we alk out the door pretend to be someone else.

Just becuase politicians like lying about their lives dosent mean the citizens they are serving likes to do it as well.

DADT Dont Ask Dont Tell

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy is the first veteran from the current Iraq War to serve in Congress. He's also the lead legislator behind efforts to repeal the archaic and discriminatory "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy which prevents openly gay and lesbian soldiers from serving in the U.S. military. For Rep. Murphy, there is one solid, succinct message for the U.S. government: Let gays and lesbians serve.

Well there is one thing wrong with what was posted on this article I read. Gays and Lesbians are allowed to serve in our armed forces but not allowed to be who they are. They are not allowed to let people know they are gay. THe current DADT law that President Bill Clinton put into placed broke the ban on Gays and Lesbians serving in our armed forces. They are just not allowed to be who they are which is totally wrong and stands against what our country was founded on.

Let me tell you this.. How right is it for a 28 year old man to be serving his country in 3 wars and then when found that he is gay he is discharged from the armed services? Also with the goverment wanting to increase enrollment why are they discharging valant men and woman becuase of there sexual oreintation? This is wrong and totally disgusting to me.

Also President Obama has promised to get rid of DADT and now when he is in office he says the time is not right. WELL WHEN WILL THE TIME BE RIGHT!?

I am totally disgusted with the way our leaders tell us one thing and then turn around and do another. DADT needs to go away and it needs to go away NOW! Th is is the same kind of retoric from back in history that wouldnt allow blacks to serve our great nation. If you are an American Citizen I strongly beilive that you should be allowed to defend this country and serve no matter what your sexuality, color, religion etc is. We are all Americans. It shouldnt matter who we sleep with!

This just proves that the Goverment and President Obama wants to keep the LGBT community as 2nd class citizens. What are they scared of?

Ok I know some of you are getting royally upset just like I am with Facebook constantly removing the Help Save Bryce Faulkner groups and pages from there website.

THey keep reporting that these pages and sites are against there rules and regulations.. Well Sheila says BULL SHIT! These groups and pages were in no way violating their rules and regulations. They wont tell the group leaders why they are shutting them down.

What I think is that Facebook is scared that the Faulkner family will sue them, which they cant. Those groups were completely truthful.

Facebook dosent like our 1st Ammendment of Free Speach! When is America going to wake up and see that our rights are slowly fading away.

What the hell is up with this fat tyrant. All he does his bash against President Obama. I went to his website today and seen all the topics that were posted on it and all them were against Obamas Health Care or slamming the way Obama is taking care of the economy.

Rush let me tell you this. We watched for a whole year as this country slipped into one of the greatest recessions in history and George Bush did only one thing and sent out stimulus checks. So why dont you figure out how your going to help rebuild the Republican party and stop bashing our (YOUR) President. Didnt you Republicans learn one thing from this last election. Corduroy Stone Ex Gay Therapy

This post has to do with the post about Patrick that you will find on my blog. I was so distrubed that I decided to send an email to Mike Jones who is the Co Director of this organazation. This organazation is also asscociated with Exodus International. This group beilives in Ex Gay therapy and is trying to change gays to being straight. However after hearing Patricks story I think Mr. Jones is trying to do something else. So I sent this email to give Mr. Jones a chance to reply and also let him know that Sheila Putang is going to investigate.

Mr. Jones,

I am writing you today as a Gay Activist that has been working very hard for human equality and acceptance. With all religious facts, and scientific it has been proven that being gay is normal.

I came across a video about a young mans story that you counseled and was totally appalled to hear your therapy techniques which included holding this young man for a hour chest to chest so he could feel a mans hold, and smell a mans scent. I was also very disturbed to hear that you had this young man take his shirt off to see how many push ups he could do and then to have him watch a movie that full frontal male nudity in it. You then had this young man describe what he looks for in a male and described different parts of the male body and had him rate himself on a scale of 1-10? You then later rated him and scored him some what off? I guess I am totally confused on your therapy techniques and it almost sounds like to me that your a pervert that prays on these young men that are confused who beilive in Christ and are looking for help.

Well sir I will not judge or say what should be your faith when you reach our God. I will say this. I will be doing more research on your organazation and will also be trying to contact as many others that you did this therapy for to find the whole story. If this keeps pointing to the same techniques that you used with this young man you can gaureentee that I will be working with all my contacts and other activists to SHUT YOU DOWN!

I would very much welcome a reply from you to explain your side of things and to maybe try to convince me on how this therapy you are using actually works. I just dont know how one can try to convert someone from being gay to being straight by doing such acts. Let alone since we were born gay by God, how can you change Gods inner work.

Patrick Alvey hurt by Ex Gay Therapy

As some of you may recall I have been blogging about a young man named Bryce Faulkner whos parents brow beated him into going to Ex Gay Therapy. This story was just released a few days ago about a young man who went thru this same therapy and was damaged by it.

People really need to come to realize that being gay is natural. There is no other word for it. There is no way to change who a person is.

Patrick Alvey had a counsler by the name of Mike Jones who is the director of Courduroy Stone which is an affilate of Exodus International. Patrick went to this therapy on his own and then was talked into being physical with Mike by hold him, taking off his shirt to do push ups, and then watch a movie that had full male frontal nudity.... OMG WTF!!! This Mike Jones dosent sound like hes trying to help people but help his own perverted desires.

Patrick finally realized that being gay was ok with him and its normal and hes happy with his life and being gay. He wishes Mike Jones would finally admit it to himself as well.

I will be trying to contact Courduroy Stone and see what they have to say about these such techniques. I do encourage you to watch the video and let Patrick tell you all the details about his expereince.

Thats right Sheila is a big President Clinton fan. Our country was running full steam ahead with a great economy, budget surplus, and more jobs! Nobody can fault him for doing that or what he just did today.

Former President Bill Clinton made an announced visit to North Korea to negioate the exchange of the two journalist. He flew home with them today!!!

Well Sheila is happy to hear that the mother of Pop Star Michael Jacksons children and Michaels Mother have come to terms over custody for the children. These poor kids went thru enough with the circus memorials and media trying to get in their faces.

Its JUST DISGUSTING!!! How the media treated these kids, by posting all the news on them just days after their fathers death.

This group gets a Sheila Putang two thumbs up. I really loved this article and feel very happy to see that other activists are feeling the same way I do.

We need to focus on basic fundemental rights and keep encouraging new anti hate legislation and anti discrminatory legislation before we put marriage at the front of our war. Marriage rights do have a place but need to be brought out of the head lines, and other important things that protect basic rights needs to be brought to the front line.

This story just tears me up that this person would have so much hatered that he would go in and not only kill innocent people but very young children. These children didnt have a time to grow to what they wanted to be.

This kind of ignorance is what we must stop in this world today. The ignorance that leads to such hatered acts that leads up to death.

When you think of saying negative words that are hateful please think before saying those words. If we would all think before we speak and act the world would be a better place.

Ok we are settled in now in good ole Davenport Iowa. Its so great to be in a larger city. Sioux Falls was great but its always good to be closer to family.

Sheilas Moving

Thats right Sheila is picking up her things and relocating to the Quad Cities. I am very much looking forward to this move and will be leaving Sioux Falls here in a day or so. This is why I havent been blogging in the past few days because I was preparing for my move.

I will miss Sioux Falls, but I am very much looking forward to living in the Quad Cities. The reason for this move is becuase my partner Link Putang has family in the Quad Cities and they are looking for more people to help with the human rights cause there. Also we plan on getting married next year in May or June. I will be sure to let you know of the date as soon as we get one concrete.

Once we get moved and settled in I will start blogging again, which should be on Friday. I have been doing a lot of reading and keeping up with what is going on, so Friday there will be a lot of blog posts.

To my readers I am very sorry for this delay but as you all know, moving is a hiddious task and is not fun!!!

Ok Sheila Putang here. I just want every body to think about this when you read the article from Foxnews.com. There are some things that need to be made clear and there are questions that need to still be answered. I am going to list those for you now.

1. Rev. Harris did not remove the Faulkners personal contact information due to a threat of a lawsuit. He removed it because he didnt beilive that there would be harrasement brought on the Faulkners.

2. Fox News Reporter was suppose to talk to Bryce im person and instead talked to a "Family Rep" I mean really come on people why cant Bryce if hes an adult come out in public to speak for himself? Rumors are also flying around tha the hes at home, and then parents say hes under going the counseling on his own will... NOBOY KNOWS WHERE BRYCE IS!

This whole thing is still fishy and since nobody is allowed to speak to Bryce Faulkner publicy or even face to face or on the phone it still goes unsolved! I strongly feel that this young man is facing a humanitary in justice and is still being brow beated to do this counseling hence nobody is allowed to talk to him.

Please keep Bryce Faulkner and Travis Swanson in your prayers as we still fight hard to get to the bottom of this story.

Rush Limbaugh Lied about Lying!

Ok I was reading the Drudge Report and low and behold was a story on my good friend Rush Limbaugh. GAG ME WITH A SPOON that man is getting fatter by the day!

Well in this report from the Heritage Blog it was stating that Rush Limbaugh admitted to falsely saying that President Obama didnt know what was in the new healt care bill.

Apparently this all went on during a bloggers call that President Obama held and a blogger wrote back from his recording of the call that Mr Obama did list off things that were in the bill he was accused of not knowing or has said.

Well anyway I am not going to into the whole details I give you a link and you can read for yourself. Just glad to see my wind bag friend is still around and didnt have a stroke from talking and eating too much!

Facebook today took away thousands of peoples 1st Amendment Rights and shut down the Bryce Faulkner group that was on Facebook to bring awareness to is dissapearnce.

There has been a new group started today, just go to facebook and in your search bar on facebook type in Bryce Faulkner. It shows up as the first group.

Sarah Palin In Hot Water Again

Ever wonder why all of our politicians are always facing legal problems? I mean these people are suppose to be our law makers and they have no clue what the law is. Maybe this tells me that we have too many laws controlling too many things.

Well Mrs. Sarah Palin is making headlines again for another ethics violation. They are claiming that she used her political position as governor in trade for legal advice.

What Palin did was created a fund for a legal trust. Apparently her attorney is defending her in creating the fund saying that people in her position needs to have legal representation to defend them against unjust causes.

OK what about our legal representation for unjust causes? This just shows us how the goverment wants to keep sticking it to us in the rear.

I really dont care for this woman and she better think twice about running for president in 2012 because she will be slammed all over the media again. She has more issues then Bill Clinton!

Thinking Back

Well people Sheila has been thinking back to her persona birth and was wondering if I would be successful as a Gay Rights activist and political pundit. Sheila almost thought about just throwing down the wig and give up writing here, and deleting the show.

BUT SHEILA WOKE UP! All the emails I receive and now the Facebook enteraction shows that people are listening to what Sheila has to say and writes. Which tells me I am helping in the cause in making this world better for the LGBT Community and having fun doing it.

I have also been doing a lot of reflecting about life in general. Do you ever think sometimes that you dont have a purpose or feel that the purpose your doing is not enough? I think we all get that way sometimes and its always great to sit back and retroflect back on things and sort them out. One thing that I can never get a grasp on though is all the hate in our world. Things would be so much better for every person around the world if there wasnt so much hate and ignorance.

Well I will be doing more blogging here in the future as I am not going anywhere, and will be recording episode 3 of my online radio show here very soon!

Help Save Bryce Faulkner

I just want all of my readers know that this is a very serious subject and needs immediate attention by all, including the media. I also want to let you know that some of this blog wont be verbatim but some of the wording will be the same when it comes to describing what kind of young man Bryce Faulkner is and what his family has done to him. I am hoping this young mans story touches you to help in the fight to save Bryce from extremist and his family. YES he needs to be saved from his Family.

Have any of you felt that you needed and wanted your families support so much that it made your heart ache and that you would do just about anything to please them? We all have, but have you been brow beaten and threatened that you will loose everything such as your car, your home, your loved ones, your self? Unless you changed who you were? Its a feeling that hits you in the gut so hard that you almost cant breathe. Well this happened to a young man by the name of Bryce Falkner. The reason it happened to him was because he was gay. YES his family threatened to take everything away from him because he was gay. Threatened to disown him, take his money, his schooling, EVERYTHING AWAY from him because he was being true to himself and deeply loving another. Well if you think that is bad it just gets worse. Keep reading as a small section below will describe Bryce's story. The next two paragraphs are a description of Bryce's story and his current situation. I dont usually quote anybody else writings but I dont want to have any misunderstandings or misinterpretations of this young mans situation, because he needs our help severly!

Bryce Faulkner is a bright young pre-med student who, like many in college, was totally dependent upon his parents for survival. His car, his cell phone, his education, even his job was all connected to his parents purse strings. Bryce was making plans to come out to his parents, but before he had the opportunity to carry out these plans, his mother found his email password and discovered communications between he and his lover Travis Of Green Bay, Wisconsin. As any person from the south, especially those whom have a conservative fundamentalist family and has come out of the closet knows, the family can become quite volatile in their reaction to the news. Bryce is no exception to this. In order to manipulate Bryce into accepting "treatment" for his homosexuality, they took away everything and left him the choice of becoming homeless and destitute or going into therapy. As anyone can imagine, this wasn't much of a choice. Being in the closet in a small town left him no one to speak to or to seek help to get him through the transition from the closet and into the light of day. His family took away every resource he had and left him with no phone to call for help, a car to drive to any help that might be out there and no money to even take a bus to Wisconsin to be with his lover. The program he is going into is a 14 month program, one of the most severe and intense of these kinds of programs.

People it is worse then that! Bryce has now been missing for 33 days! No contact with the real world or his lover Travis. I really don't think we could imagine what Travis is going through right now. How would you feel if you had your lover snatched away from you with out knowing truly where he was at, how he was being treated, not being able to talk to him and then told that Bryce dosent want anything to do with him anymore! This came from Bryce's mother Debra Faulkner. Mrs. Faulkner stated that Travis can communicate with Bryce thru her. He will not be allowed to talk to Bryce. He can give her the message and she will then bring it back to Travis. Come on people now she is also stating that Bryce is not at this treatment center but with family. However nobody has seen him, nobody has phsyically talked to him on the phone, thru email etc. Now dosent that sound like shes hiding something? Well shes not going to admit it.

She has threatnened Rev. Brett Harris who created the site to help Bryce with a law suit if he didnt remove the site. Rev. Brett Harris is in this fight until the end and will not remove the site. I don't blame him. Now you cant hate Mrs. Faulkner for this, but what you can do is feel pity and sympathy for her as she has been brained washed by her church and her parents stating that Homosexuality is a sin. Remember I dont preach hate on my site and I try not to say that I hate things or people, but there is a time that you just get so passionate about something espically to an injustice done to another human being like this. I also feel what Bryce proably felt when his mother found his emails and he was outed.

See Sheila's heritage is Southern Baptist. OH YES !! My families roots are from the south and when I was outed to my mother when I was 18 it wasnt a plesant experience. Sheila is a devoted loving christian. I love God and Jesus Christ, and I know now that they love me too!

My mother made me go and talk to my familys minister. This was a very unpleasant experience for me. I was always worried at that age about me going to hell because of my sexuality. I was terrified of it. So to sit there across the table from him and hear him reading scripture to me and saying I was going to hell for who I was until I changed my ways, then will I be saved. I left there in tears and was scared for my life. I went home and cried for days and didnt leave or go to work for 3 days. I just couldnt go outside. So I went back to being "straight" (How can you go back being straight if being gay is not a choice) so some of you could only imagine what I was going thru. Well I found help from a gay friend who I knew was a christian that went church once a week. Talking to him almost on a daily basis was helping me cope for my so called sins. Well a few months later I fell on hard times and had to move back home. I really didnt talk to my mother that much like I use too, and she could tell I was hiding something. I wasnt really hiding anything because I just totally swore off relationships at the time but yes I was feeling uncomfortable there. I would go to work and then come home and shut myself in my room. I would cry silently and have Wyonna Judd playing in the back ground. If it wasnt for that music I would of lost myself, if you know what I mean. Then one day I came home and nobody was there and there was a letter on my bed in an envelope. I opened the envelope and as I was reading I just started balling trying to read the rest of the letter as it was saying that I am her son, and why she dosent understand my wanting to be gay she was ok with it because all she wanted was for her son to be happy. God helped open my mothers heart and mind that he loved all of his children. My mom was praying a lot and she felt that God was urging her to do some researching and talking with people. She did that. She proved that she loved me. I was so thankful for that. Now me and my mother are best friends again, and she is going to walk me down the isle for my wedding next year. I just hope that when we do get Bryce out that he knows that God loves him, and as for Mrs. Faulkner I hope you can open your heart to hear God's actual word and feel his passion that he has for all of his children and to know that Bryce is not abnormal that he is still your same young boy that you gave birth too. Bryce needs your support not your hate!

I hope I am not getting off subject here but I want you readers to understand why Bryce proably made the decision he did to go into this kind of treatment. He is scared, feeling lost, feeling that he is an abomination and is doomed to go to hell unless he gives up his true self and denies that he loves Travis. Then for Travis to feel the desparity of not being with his true love not being able to communicate with him, and to hear form Bryce's mother that Bryce dosent want to have anything to do with him any more? Its just not right. Bryce is a legal adult and should have his voice heard. He should be allowed to be who he is, and who God made him to be.

When Bryce's parents found out about Travis, Bryce was already preparing Travis that he was going to need him and for him to support him and to continue to love him because he was going to need him. Then Bryce dissappears to this so called treatment? People Bryce didnt go to a church that nothing bad is going to happen to him. Bryce went to the most extreme treatment centers here in the USA. They are very brutal and severe in their treatment. Bryce is not with a group of people that loves him. He is with a group of extremist that hate him for who he is. They would rather see him gone then to allow him to be gay. Of course what the Faulkners did is not illegal (unless they physically forced him which there is no evidence of that yet) but its just wrong and its wrong in Gods eyes as well.

If being a homosexual was such a big sin why wasnt it in the Ten Commandments? Why didnt Jesus comdemn it when he walked the earth? One thing that the bible does say is an abomination is eating shell fish. You dont see these groups trying to shut down Red Lobster do you? I am totally serious in this. We need your help. Travis needs your help. We need your help in saving Bryce from these extremists. There are mulitple centers like this in the USA and they need to be outed to the media. We need attention to be brought to this cause.

I am joining this fight not to just fight but to wage war against these conservative extremist. I am not going to stop untill we are heard and these centers are not allowed to operate because the people will be educated and the people will shut them down!

So join Travis and all of his freinds and Sheila Putang in the fight to save Bryce, and reunite him with his true love. When you hear the phrase even if its jokingly that God hats faggots you need to step up and speak up against that person for saying such hateful and un true words.

NO TRUE CHRISTIAN WILL JUDGE ANYBODY FOR ANYTHING! Its not our right to judge. Its not up to these groups to hand out God's Judgement! That is in the bible. Only God will judge on that day. Its not up to these groups to save the world by judging and changing people. We need to let them know that the true christians wont stand for this.

Episode 3 Coming Soon Sheila Will be True To Herself

I just want to let everybody know that Episode 2 was touching a very sensitive subject with me dear to my heart and I dont think my dialogue was smooth becuase I was trying to be politically correct with my words.

I preach and teach against ignorance and sometimes get very passionate about the subject and can be fiery with my words. Well your going to start seeing more of that Sheila. Why I do feel that we got our point across in episode 2 I just want to set everybody straight that in episode 3 Sheila Putang is going to be true to herself and speak from the heart which is my passion.

Straight forward to the point, and yes fiery. I might have to change the rating of the show to adult for episode 3 but so be it. I want to make sure my point is heard loud and clear!

I will be making some new blog post this week and not promoting my show on my blog like I have lately. I have noticed that lot is going on and Sheila feeling a little fiesty and creative. So be on the watch out becuase this bitch will be typing away here in the next day or so!!

Episode 2 on Human Equality

Well I just want to say thank you to all of you that listened to Episode 1 of our show. I have had great feed back from all of you listeners.

Tonight we will be recording episode 2 and focusing on Human Equality. The show of course will be entertaining and informative and directly to the point. We will be visiting some Facebook groups where I have been reading some very ignorant comments from some of course un educated people when it comes to the LGBT Community. We will also be having a special guest host with us tonight. Megan Bunger. Megan is 21 and is from Sioux Falls South Dakota. Megan is straight but has a large amount of gay and lesbian friends. When I hear Megan talk about gay rights she is really passionate and considers it her fight as well. We just love Megan.

Family Groups Against Hate Crime Bill But Continue To Teach Hate

South Dakota and other Federal Family groups are up in arms over the new Federal Hate Crime Bill that is expected to be on the Senate Floor this week. They are saying the bill dosent allow them to be able to teach against Homosexuality. What they are wanting to say it wont allow them to teach hate to their younger generations.

What makes me think on this is that proably none of these people dont have a gay child. If they did would they continue to keep this beilief. Do they really want to allow people to kill people because of their sexuality? Do they condone this? Obiviously they do!

It saddens me as a Gay Christian to see so many church groups against protecting basic human rights. They say it hurts their family values. Why does it hur their family values? Being Gay is not contagious. Its not going to rub off on their spouses or their children. Being Gay is in a persons genes when they are born. It has been sceintifically proven. Yet they want to keep preaching hate against the LGBT community.

One comment from a Christian Family Rights supporter was that the LGBT community uses schools as our breeding ground or instituation. A breedin ground for what? ! This person obiviously dosent get out much and is full of hate that he cant see the picture.

One thing that these groups dont realize is that there are Gay Families. Gay loving, law abiding families that raise their kids to make their own deicsions and teach them right from wrong.

I went to the Dakota Voice website that is for Pro Families and guess who they are advertising for??? Ann Coulter. ENOUGH SAID!

Activist Up In Arms Over Bruno

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) claims Cohen uses every negative gay stereotype in his portrayal of outrageous Austrian Bruno, and leaders feel executives should make amends for the movie's depiction of homosexuals by adding a positive message at the end.

You know this was the same kind of amends that is on the begining of Queer As Folk. Of course not all gay and lesbians represent their selves this way but why is it so main stream? Ellen De Generes made a comment on one of her shows when a youngster was murdered because he was gay by stating that we should stop making fun of ourselves. Stop telling gay jokes etc. Its not a laughing matter and is being seen by the world that we dont take ourselves seriously. I totally agree with you girl!!!

But I also have a flip side opinion when it comes to movies and shows. I know everybody is going OH NO SHEILA!!! OH YES I AM!

I also think that the comedies and joking on movies and sit coms kind of help break the ice to some straight people letting them know that Gay and Lesbians are fun to be around and are just as normal as they are. Take Will and Grace for example. I mean come on you have your stereotypical gay man Jack and then you have your stereotypical white rich woman Carol who drinks and flirts with any available men she comes into contact with. You dont see the womans groups or anybody else up in arms over that? DO YOU??

In short site of all of this. If we start making too big of deal of minor things such as movies and sit coms I strongly beilive that it will hurt our cause in the long run. We really dont want to be seen as a minority but we do want equal rights as everybody else. I am really feeling that some people in the LGBT Community have too much time on their hands or their not being stirred in the right direction. I will keep saying this untill I turn blue in the face. WE NEED to see more acceptance education in Diversty fairs and in the media. I mean come on Alabama had a segeration law for LGBT people and just reveresed it. I just glanced at that today and will be doing more reading on it to let you know what I think about it.

Over It

Ok as you all know I wrote Perez Hilton a little while back on his actions and how he used the F word and its the one you all think I am talking about. Its the one that is negative to towards gay men. Well I am totally over it and know that Perez knows deep down in his heart that he was wrong and wont admit it.

Its ok then now we move on.

Stone Wall Democrats

I have been doing a little reading on the Stone Wall Democrats joining the Human Rights Campaign by not attending Democractic Fundraisers and that the health care issues, and taxes affect the LGBT community. Really people wake up. Health care issues and tax increases effect us as a whole as American Citizens not just one segement. This goes back to the LGBT Community Leaders that are saying President Obama is not holding up to his election promises to our community.

Didnt we just see a new hate crime legislation go thru the house and will be approved by the Senate after 10 years of fighting? Doesnt President and Obama support Civil Unions and that Marriage should be left up to the states? I mean arent we seeing a sweeping change with a few states legalizing Gay Marriage? Didnt this all happen this year?

This all goes back to American greed. We want what we want and we want it right now! I am a very proud member of the LGBT community but I also dont agree with everything our leaders are speaking out for. People really need to think back on when they made a certain promise to someone to do something but it was absoultely out of their control to do. All of us have done it. So is it right to criticize this administration becuase they are not able to pass or change things over night? I mean really we have gotten a lot from this administration that we havent gotten before. Also didnt this administration just allow Federal benefits to same sex couples?

The LGBT political leaders are forcing us to write to our congress people and demand more and more and more. Do we really want to sound like we are ungrateful for what has happened so far? Open your eyes and start thinking with some common sense. Be grateful for what has happened so far. Do we need to continue our fight? YES BY ALL MEANS LETS CONTINUE TO MARCH, LETS CONTINUE TO PROTEST. Dont allow our voices to be silent again. Lets fight against the conversatism right wing religious groups, but lets not classify religion as the enemy. Not all religious factions are against us. I also am a christian and have fellow christian friends with my views that are straight so its not religion we need to be fighting but the Right Wing Faction of it.

The LGBT community along with other minorities are fighting against hate. Lets not start fighting hate with more hate. Also lets remember we are fighting two wars right now. Lets not be taking away our goverments time about domestic issues away from that untill those men and woman are back home safely in this country.

As for the Dont Ask Dont Tell Law in our millitary. I really do think that needs to be reveresed and very soon. There is no way of knowing the great number of how many Gays and Lesbians are fighting in our armed services but I am here to tell you I can almost bet you its more then 15 percent! It is a great disservice to them for them not to be able to be who they are but they can die to protect yours and my freedoms. Its just plain out wrong!!!!

I have been reading and noticing a lot of a gay democrats pulling their fundraising dollars away from the Democractic Party... I will be looking into this today..

If you are all well aware I made a blog post on how disgusted I was with Perez Hilton and the Black Eyed Peas. Well I am really disgusted with Perez Hilton on how he handled the matter as a gay icon. Well icon might be a little strong.

I sent this email below to Perez Hilton to see if he would respond to his actions and issue an apology not only to the Black Eyed Peas but to the world. Lets wait and see if he responds.





Mr. Hilton,

You are a celebrity that is well known all over the world. Not only are you a Celebrity but you are a gay celebrity. With this you have a responsibility to be an up standing citizen not only for your followers but for the many generations that may look up to you. For your actions that night and after wards were not very mature or to say the least very disturbing.

Your actions by using the word Faggot to one of the band members of the Black Eyed Peas deserves an apology not only to them but to the world for using such a hate based and ignorant word. Then for you to issue a video against theirs and to act like a raving lunatic is totally childish. As a gay man do you see where you totally did your community justice? No you didnt. Its a great disappointment.

Please issue some remarks for your actions. I dont agree with the Black Eyed Peas either. For I feel that they are just as in mature that night as you were.

I am writing this as an update to a later post about my good friend Lena Nuvo of Sioux Falls South Dakota. I was stand corrected as far as her retirement.

Ms. Lena Nuvo retired in 2005 with only doing a few special events. Ms. Nuvo will be returning to the spot light at her annual Bash In The Grass This July by announcing that she is coming out of retirement and will be begning to preform regularly in Sioux Falls and other venues.

Perez Hilton and Black Eyed Peas

I have told some of you that I would be blogging about this but I had to cool down over the whole situation. They both really ticked me off.

For both groups involved they are celebrities that generation of people including some young kids look up too. They both were in the wrong with this thing esclating to where it is now. The one major thing that really upsets me is that they are both adults and couldnt handle theirselves in that manner.

Perez Hilton for one shouting out Faggot and other slurs towards the Black Eyed Peas is totally wrong. With Perez being a activist for gay rights and for him to use that word towards another human being is just pathetic! I MEAN PLAIN OUT PATHETIC! And for him to call Fergie fugly well thats just plain out chilidish. He got his butt whooped for acting like a kid, and now he needs to act like a man and dust himself off. I seriously would like to see Perez issue an apology for the statement he used not only to the Black Eyed Peas but to the Nation. He totally set us back a few years by stooping to that level. Then to record a video and act even more childish and like a panzy he just totally ruined his image with me. I agree with Perez nobody deserves to be hit but also nobody deserves to be called a Faggot! That is a word of hate and for you a gay male to use that against someone else is just profoundly disgusting!

As for the Black Eyed Peas, what they did is just the same. For them to be role models in the music industry and to act like high school bullies against Perez is just as disgusting as Perez Hilton calling one of them that name I wont type anymore in my blog. You guys seriously need to own up and become adults and apologize not only to Perez Hilton but to the nation for being inmature and acting like school kids.

I dont agree with either side of this subject because it totally enrages me that both parties as high as they are on the celebrity poll would act with such disregaurd to the people that look up to them. Is it ok to teach our kids that calling someone else a Fa**90 is ok? Or is it ok to teach them that if somone writes something about you that you dont like, you can go ahead and start a fight with them, and beat the crap out of them. NO NO NO!

What is really needed out of this whole situation is for both parties to apologize for their ignorance and drop the whole mess. I really doubt that we will see that happen.

Pride Season

Well Pride Season is in full bloom and living it up already for 2009. This has been a great time for homosexuals as a whole. We have seen larger civil rights movements with more people getting involved. We have seen a new Hate Crime Legislation that is going to become law sometime this year. We have seen Marriage blossoming in so many states. Two states in particular were very shocking. California denying Gay marriage and Iowa allowing it. Something whacky is in the air, I think California may need to make sure medical marijuana dosent go through because those people are smoking something!

Pride Season is the time to be proud of who you are. Not so much that were gay but that were strong enough to come out against so much hatered and be who we are. We are just as much Citizens of this great country as anybody else. Funny old slogan. "Do you not prick us do we not bleed, do you not hurt us do we not cry." I seriously think I got that off of Monk or something LOL.

I just want to say enjoy your pride season this summer and be careful. Have a great time and remeber the ones before us that made this all possible. Even though we still have a long ways to go we are finally moving the mountain.

My very best friend Lena Nuvo just got her site launched not too long ago. Also Ms. Nuvo has been preforming for many years. She recently retired last year with only making some special performances. New Hate Crime Legislation

Ok its great to hear that the Senate has agreed to make an amendment to allow sexual oreintation to be part of the Hate Crimes Law. Some gay people are upset because we didnt get a separate bill like proposed. All I can say is GET OVER IT! We got it. It will become law.

I really think we need to be happy with the current flow of change that is going on for us. Some would just like to sit down and complain and they are the ones that dont really do anything about it or are in the closet. Trust me I dont dislike closeted homos. I just get tired of hearing most of you ridcule as to how we are being treated when you cant even stand up for yourself!

The new amendment will most likely be signed by President Obama and will become law most likely next year. Some activist are trying to get it before the Congressional Recess in August. Again all I have to say is be glad we got it. It took 10 freaking years people!!! Now lets keep educating people and keep rallying our troops to make our voices louder and heard by many.

RuPaul you got to love her! If you havent seen RuPauls drag race the 1st season you need to make sure you watch the 2nd season. It was totally fab!!! This queen has it all. Shes just amazing.

Family

I know it can be hard for us to confront family members who just dont understand us. I just watched a family feud today on facebook with a friend and his cousin. It was almost turning nasty but then it was turned around.

One thing that you all need to know its hard when it comes to dealing with family. Remember there are always people out there that love you and support you. They may not have the same blood running through their vains but neither less they love you!!!

L:ets Set it Straight!

Now your proably already reading this and thinking ok its just some straight person thinking he can turn Gays into Straight People. WRONG!!! Im 100 percent Homo people. Its time that we set the straights STRAIGHT on some facts.

As you will see from reading my blog I have a lot of different various political views and I am going to start with this right now since its something close to me. To all of my homo friends arent we getting a little tired of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter attacking us? You damn right we are! The old saying is correct that people who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. You know why??? because we will will throw them back and find bigger ones!

Lets start with Mr. Limbaugh. Mr Limbaugh back in 2004 had a conversation with a school teacher on his show about openly gay high students. Rush Limbaugh said that openly gay High School students are trumpeting their sexuality because people know their gay. Well what about the straight High School students who strut their stuff and trumpeting their sexuality about how many chicks they can nail before the end of the year? Or sport season? Come on Rush didnt you trumpet your sexuality in High School? Them Rush Limbaugh goes to say that the gay students are millitants and begging for a fight. Begging for a fight to be accepted? Begging for a fight to not be discriminated or harrassed? Well Mr. Limbaugh if it wasnt for conversative panny waste such as yourself they wouldnt have to be begging for the fight. I mean come on you trumpet your beileifs on the radio waves to lure uneducated red necks to your cause. This is how the Consverative RightWing forms their army becuase they are loosing their educated members by drones. Also to listen to Mr. Limbaugh totally ridcule and wish that President Obama fails is just telling me he is Anti American and wishes America will fail. When will people stop listening to this wind bag? I have no clue.

Then there is my favorite author Ann Coulter. She self elected herself as the new face of the conservative movement that what she beilives is the all American foundation of life. OK and I am Ralph Machio in his younger years. GIVE ME A BREAK! It amazes me as to how much hard earn money is wasted on this persons views. She paid for her education apparently she didnt opt in for the free common sense course.

Shes a very hateful person. I dont understand how somoene could have so much hate and ignorance all at the same time. During the last Presidental Election she called John Edwards a faggot. She faced a lot of back lashing from both sides but apparently to her thats just a slap on the hand.
The more I think about her the more I just want for you to see youselves. Go to You Tube and watch Ann on the View about her new book.
